ADSL Stats Monitor by Neo @ RouterTech.Org

Quick Instructions:

Enter the router username and password
Change the router IP address and port if necessary
Click on 'Test Settings'
If the settings are correct you should see some valid stats in for the SNR and attenuation.

If the test passes you should be able to start monitoring!

Monitor settings -

The ADSL Stats Monitor can produce an output file that can be opened by Excel etc.

Output file name: Name of the output file created in the same folder as the Stats Monitor.

Save stats to file: The Stats Monitor will only create/add to the output file if this is ticked

Interval (minutes): This is the time to wait (in minutes) between stats captures. This can even be a fraction, e.g. 0.5 = 30 seconds (although going below a second is not possible and a very short interval is not recommended).

Other settings -

* Balloons in system tray: When the Stats Monitor is sent to the System Tray it appears as only an icon. If and when the line drops the Stats Monitor can display a popup balloon telling you about the drop in connection. Clicking on the balloon will open the Stats Monitor window.

* Graph Menu -

Right-clicking on the graph displays the graph menu with options relating to the graph.

Markers: Draws markers at the newest points of the graph plots.

Labels: Draws shorthand labels on the plots (instead of markers). SU is SNR Upstream, SD is SNR Downstream, AD is Attenuation Downstream and AU is Attenuation Upstream. Markers and Labels are either-or, in other words you can only have Markers or Labels not both.

Grid: Draws a grid with lines for 10 intervals and 10 dB.

Auto Range: This is set in the INI file. If set to 'True' this will set the maximum range of the graph to match the maximum of the stats values.

* Each stat can be selected/deselected from the graph by clicking on the appropriate stat in the 'Stats' box.

Tweaks / advanced settings -

These settings can only be changed in the settings INI file. They are more advanced and need only be changed rarely and infrequently.

Maximum value=Maximum value in the graph.

SNR threshold=If either SNR value (Upstream or Downstream) falls below this threshold the Stats Monitor classes it as a line drop.

Att. threshold=If either Attenuation value (Upstream or Downstream) rises above this threshold the Stats Monitor classes it as a line drop.

Separate date and time=If set to "1" this separates the date and time in the outputfile, otherwise the date and time are saved as a single column/field.

Stats page=The page of the router where the stats are found.

Auto Range=See 'Graph Menu' above.
