SafeCom Easy Setup & Config Guide by Neo

1. Download the SafeCom software and save it to your Desktop or some where on your PC's hard drive. If the file is zipped, you will need to unzip/unpack it first.

2. Double-click the executable (exe) file in the location you saved/unzipped it in. This will install the software on to your PC.

3. After Installation you will see the Safecom Easy-Setup window appear, which will setup your computer so that it can access your router. Select your network card from the list.  Make sure your router is connected to your computer by Ethernet or USB cable (not both) and it is switched on, then tick the box. Click on 'Setup Network'.

The SafeCom Easy-Config window will look like the image to the right. There are two red bars or 'lights/LEDs' - they represent the router and Internet status.

7. When you type in 'admin' you should see router bar change from RED to GREEN and the text will change to 'Connected to Router'. Now type 'epicrouter' in the Router password box.

Next enter the ISP details which your ISP has given you.

In the 'ISP Username' box, enter the user name which has been provided by your ISP. In the 'ISP Password' box enter your password provided by your ISP. Some ISPs do not offer a password, so if you do not have a password, type a space into the box (if this does not work, you may need to try the SafeCom Quick Login software instead).

After you have entered the ISP information, click on the 'Submit, Save & Reboot' button. Your router should then reboot - it may take a minute or two to complete.

8. You should now see the Internet bar has turned GREEN and says 'Connected to Internet'. If you see the the 'Connected to Internet' message, then you will be able to access the Internet through your router and you will be free to browse web pages, send and receive emails etc.

9. If the bar remains RED and shows 'Not connected to Internet' then go to the DIAGNOSTIC TEST (http://10.0.0.2/doc/diagtest.htm).

This should show where the router is failing to connect to the Internet. Ignore any ping failures because they are not important.
